"We Are Here, Today, To 'Preach'"
U.S. Coast Guard

...To Preach Safety:  Because, that's what we do...and will -- continue -- to do!  "S-a-f-e-t-y" is a word, we will speak about ~ hammer-on ~ and throw at you ~ many, many times, in the future.  We want to, keep you as Boating~Highways friends, from...this moment...on.  We won't be able-to, if you're: "Swimmin', With The Fishes!"...youknowhadwemean!?

The Logo, on the left, is -- obviously -- the representation of the United States Coast Guard, a group of hard-working, underpaid, individuals...and Volunteers -- who care about your safety.  That's "why," they monitor you...the radio...radar...ELT's...the Regulations...and, just about, anything else, you will find: Near -- or In -- the water.

We here, have -- all -- attended...and completed...the Boating Safety Course, offered by: the Coast Guard Auxiliary (they are the "volunteers," we mentioned) and recommend it, VERY strongly.  It will show you, where you are Wrong...and tell you, how to be "Right!"  At Boating~Highways Magazine, we feel: "If You Are Safer...WE Are Safer!"

When this part of our Website is completed, will strive to keep you current...and loaded, with enough information...to help; keep you 'with us'...and a little less money, out of your pocket.  Come back...we CAN, teach you...a thing, or two.

Fingertip Weather

Weather 'In Hand'! - Verizon Wireless, ekkosoft.us and the American Sailing Association, are making "MarineWeather" available, in the "Get It Now" On-line store.

MarineWeather is a national service, making it possible to receive marine weather forecasts and buoy data for sailors, boaters, fishermen and those living near the coasts, right on your Cellular Telephone!  It will provide: seven day forecasts for coastal and offshore, as well as synopsis and advisories for the U.S. contiguous states.  In addition, it will not only make forecasts available ... it will give easy-to-read graphics, forecasted and actual wind speeds and direction; wave size, direction and period; sky cover, visibility; humidity, rain percentage and number of inches; barometer, dew point and air and sea temperatures.

"Click," on the Verizon Wireless link and look into: "Get It Now."  We, most heartedly, suggest it.
